As our name suggests, Saugeen Riverbank Campground has a great length of the world renown Saugeen River running adjacent to our property. This Fly-fishing Mecca is well known for some of the best sport fishing South Central Ontario has to offer.
Whether you’re after some serious exploring or seeking a little fun in the sun we can get you floating on the water. Choose from our fleet of kayaks, canoes, and river tubes.
The trails & tracts that surround us are virtually endless so we will just mention a few closest to us. The Brant Tract is 18 mins away on Concession 12 just south of Paisley. See www.mtbthebruce.com. The Saugeen River Trail (5.5 kms) can be accessed from downtown Walkerton and takes you along the flood control dykes of the Saugeen River. See trailforks.org. The Bruce Rail Trail can be accessed from Wallace St in Walkerton and goes all the way to Southampton. See The Bruce Trail
Our very fun planning committee often has something extra special scheduled for the long weekends. Throughout the season we have 50/50 draws, pot lucks, bbq’s, fishing derby’s, bingo, paint nights, the annual river run, and weekend fly-fishing schools. Something for everyone!
Within a 10 minute drive, there is always something to experience in the Walkerton area. Try a fantastic Dinner at the 519, great shopping on Yonge St, snob-free wine at the Hoity Toity Winery, the Busker Festival, the Little Royal Fair, the outdoor market, golfing, horse racing, casino and the list goes on! We are happy to let you know what events are happening when you book your stay with us, or more info can be found on www.walkertonbia.ca (The Fish Art Tour is one of our personal favs!) Or visit the beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Huron which are a 30 minute drive in Port Elgin and Kincardine.

Did someone say FREE PEDAL CARTS for kids?! We sure did. What better way to give mom and dad a break than to let your kids play on free pedal carts. Just bring your own bicycle helmet. We also have a small play ground, and kids often make their own fun playing by the creek, meeting new friends or hooking their first catch at the children’s fishing pond!
